Players at the required Trainer level can submit Wayspot nominations from inside Pokémon GO. Accepted Wayspots may appear on the Niantic map — but acceptance does not guarantee a PokéStop or Gym in Pokémon GO.

Better acceptance odds
A sharp, well-lit photo of the object itself — no people, cars, faces or number plates — helps reviewers approve it quickly.
Place the pin exactly on the object. A misplaced pin on a road or a building far away is a common rejection reason.
Say what it is and why it matters in plain language. A good supporting statement explains its lasting community value.
Good to know
Nomination access unlocks at a set Trainer level (level 37 and up has had access). Once unlocked you submit from the Pokémon GO map or through Niantic Wayfarer.
Pokémon GO uses spacing and S2 cell rules. If a cell already has a PokéStop or Gym, your new accepted Wayspot may exist on the map without becoming a usable stop in-game.
It varies from days to weeks depending on local reviewer activity and the Wayfarer queue. Upgrading a nomination can speed it up.
